A wheel-thrown stoneware mug with the shape of North Carolina left in bare clay against a glossy cream glaze. The unglazed foot shows the natural speckled clay, and the throwing rings and glaze drips are part of the character of the piece.
Each mug is handmade by potter John McCormack at Acorn Pottery and Farm, a small family pottery in Virginia. Because every piece is thrown and glazed by hand, size, shape, and glaze will vary slightly from the photo.
